The thirteenth year of The Gaudeamus Exhibition was held as usual on the beginning of November on the Brno's exhibition ground. The most of students were coming in time from 9 am to 2 pm. The exhibitors were from thirteen countries in the 2006 year, it was the most of all history of the exhibition. Foreign exhibitors were from European Union excluding three.

The first two days of the exhibition was pleasant warm weather and in this time there were lots of visitors. The weather was change to typical winter weather on Thursday and Friday, it caused unexpected complication with transportation. Students had consultancy at their disposal free of charge. It was for the first time in 2006 year. Advisers helped with choice of suitable field of study, searching colleges, universities and they gave other information about study.

Lectures of exhibiting schools were like accompanying program of the exhibition as usual. They were held in the lecture hall directly in the hall G2 and were the most interesting for students, attendance was free of charge. The lecture hall had capacity of 300 seats, but interest of students was bigger. The lecture hall was equipped by big projection and by high-quality sound systems. Lectures were attended by 7 500 students.

Exhibitors on The Gaudeamus Exhibition were great universities, public colleges, private universities and colleges, private and public higher schools and other educational institutions as usual. The graphic class of stands is growing up every year and schools are interested in future students highly. Communication between students and exhibitors is better then in last years, it has professional level.

Students were interested in small stands and bigger ones as well. Visitors crowded every place in the exhibiting hall and with sharp aim they were looking for information about future study opportunity. For better orientation on the exhibition the printed index of fields of study was usable, which obtained each visitor of the exhibition. The index contained field of studies of exhibiting schools.

The attendance of the exhibition was balanced during the exhibition. It was very useful for good conditions for communication between visitors and exhibitors. Each exhibitor endeavoured to make the best communication background. Students were interested in possibilities of study at Czech and of course foreign universities, colleges and higher schools. The communication in English was not a problem for Czech students.

The thirteenth year of the Gaudeamus exhibition completely fulfilled all exhibition area in the hall G2, the hall has 6000 m2. Organisers are seriously thinking about moving the exhibition to bigiest hall for the next year. The visitors were interested in small stands of private colleges, universities and higher schools. The most of them were in the stands of agencies wich arranged study abroad, advised how to study abroad and other advisory agencies.

The most favourite stands were open stands where students could integrate into a school life at least for the short time and they could try correctness of their choice of future study. The exhibitors organised inquiries, competitions and other activities for students. Students were interested in study at universities more then at other schools as usual. The most attractive universities were Masaryk University, Charles University, Technical University in Brno, the Czech Technical University in Prague, Mendel University and foreign universities as well.

During last three years the interest of foreign schools in Czech students growing up evidently. Universities were taking part on the exhibition directly in 2006 year unlike last years. In last years there were assorted agencies which offered study abroad. The interest in study abroad is growing up on the side of students too. The expositions of foreign universities were frequently visited by students. Students had not any problems with communication in English with exhibitors. Exhibitors were worried about ability of communication.
