The fourteenth year of the Gaudeamus Exhibition was held as usual on the turn of October and November on the Brno’s exhibition ground at the hall G2. The most of students were coming in the first three days and crowded all exhibition ground. The exhibitors were from twelve countries in 2007, the number of foreign exhibitors was the highest of all history of the exhibition. Foreign exhibitors were thirty three and they were from European Union only.

Lectures of exhibiting schools were the most interesting for students. Students could to know more information about possibility of study and conditions of admissions on these lectures. Lectures were attended by 8 000 students approximately. Lectures were held in the lecture hall directly in the hall G2, attendance was free of charge. The lecture hall had capacity of 300 seats, but interest of students was bigger.

Students had consultancy at their disposal find free of charge in 2007. These services could help them to find out answer to their question: Where go after a leaving examination? Where study field of study? Which fields of study is possible to study at a school? And another questions. Students were the most interested in study of law, psychology, philosophy, international relationship, sociology, teaching professions, traveling and tourism, languages, medicine and pharmacy.

Exhibitors on the Gaudeamus exhibition 2007 were great universities, public colleges, private universities and colleges, private and public higher schools and other educational institutions as usual. The graphic class of stands is growing up every year and schools are interested in future students highly. Communication between students and exhibitors was better then in last year.

Students were interested in small exhibitors and the biggest universities as well. Visitors crowded the exhibition hall G2 and they were looking for information about future study. Students had printed plans of exhibition hall G2 and list of exhibitors with number of their stands. The new information centre contributed to good knowledgeableness.

Each exhibitor tried to create good communication background for visitors. The big interest was about study in foreign languages at foreign universities, communication in English was not a problem. Students were interested in possibility study in Czech universities, colleges and higher schools as well.

The fourteenth year of the Gaudeamus Exhibition completely fulfilled all exhibition area in the hall G2. Hall G2 has 6000 m2 and for Gaudeamus 2008 will be obviously small. Organizers will think about change it for bigger hall F or V in the time of the 15th edition. These halls have almost double area.

The most favorite stands were open stands where students could integrate into a school life at least for the short time and they could try correctness of their choice of future study. There were competitions and other activities for students. Students were interested in study at universities like Masaryk University, Charles University, Technical University in Brno, Czech Technical University in Prague and another as well.

During last four years the interest of foreign schools in Czech student growing up. Five years ago only different agencies offered possibility of study abroad. From 2005 year there are taking part universities and higher schools directly. Interest about study abroad is growing up on the side of students too.
