GAUDEAMUS® 2010, The 3rd ANNUAL
Photos from the 3rd year of the International Education and Lifelong Learning Exhibition Gaudeamus® in Prague
The 3rd edition of the Gaudeamus exhibition was held at the Krizik exhibition halls E and D of the showground in Prague Holesovice. Due to increasing interest of foreign exhibitors we had to rent the second exhibition hall to accommodate the demands of all the participants. The total exhibition area was 2 900 sq.m.
Thanks to architectonic arrangement of the exhibition there was enough space for extra communication among stands. This year’s attendance of the exhibition was record-breaking and sometimes the wide aisles were overcrowded. The student’s interest in their future study surpassed exhibitor’s expectations.
More then 7 000 students attended the exhibition Gaudeamus in Prague. There were more 4th grade secondary school students than in previous editions. The students looked for specific schools and fields of study. The most of students complained about deficit in possibility of study in the Czech Republic and abroad even though there were a record number of exhibiting schools. There were 138 exhibitors from the16 countries at the exhibition.
The lectures of exhibiting schools were the traditional accompanying program of the exhibition. The lecture theatre was in the exhibition hall D where there was enough space for expected interest of students. The theatre seated 120 people and there was enough space for standing. More than 20% of visitors attended the lectures. After each lecture there was drawing lots of the tickets which visitors could fill up. There were always drawn lots of 5 winners of valuable prizes which were given by the presenting school, the media partner of the exhibition the Czech radio Radiožurnál and the organization guarantor MP-Soft company.
Thanks belong to Anglo-American University in Prague which organized the short music performance of the finalist of the Czech and Slovak competition Superstar Ben Cristovao. The performance was pleasant variegation for viewers and for exhibitors too. The hundreds of students came for autograph before the performance and after that too.
